The scuba center is beautifully situated near the center of Fare village. In the lush tropical garden, a magnificent Banyan tree, surrounded by different varieties of palm trees, sits directly alongside the sparkling lagoon. It’s been said that the ancient tree was planted by the last queen of Huahine, Tehaapapa II. In its shade lies a pretty “Fare”, a local-style private house, beautifully preserved by its owners who are very invested in the cultural values of the island. You will find the center just next door and our dock is located at the far end of this stunning property.
If you decide to take the time, you will enjoy exploring Fare, the main village of the island. Many people like strolling through the main street and appreciate the simplicity and warm generosity that gives Huahine its special flair.
Our Club affiliated with the FFESSM (Federation Francaise d’Etude et de Sports Sous-Marin), and we are certified to award CMAS diplomas (Confederation Mondial des Activités Subaquatique).
If you are members of another organization you are also welcome and please note, there is a network that permits you to pass from one level to another between the CMAS and the PADI system or the SSI. You will be trained by instructors that have been certified by the state.
Mahana Dive opened its doors in 2002, but Annie, owner and instructor, has lived and dived in Huahine since 1997.
Our knowledge of the dive sites around the island guarantees that you will always dive in the best possible conditions.
The center is outfitted with Aqua-Lung brand wetsuits and Scubapro regulators. We pay the upmost attention to the state of our material and update every year and as needed.
